Robina Megan Myers

She was born in Luton, England to Thomas and Gladys Evans on September 3, 1925. Robina grew up in Kettering England with her 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She developed a love for walking, swimming, fashion, dancing and ballet which lasted throughout her lifetime. She worked as a model for PYE TV in Cambridge UK when they were testing colours for TV. Robina met the love of her life Charlie in England when he was stationed there with the United States Army Air Corp in the 1950s. PYE sponsored her move from England to the United States so she could marry Charlie. She always made it a point to say she was “not a war bride”. She moved to Sacramento CA and while engaged worked as a comptometer operator. She and Charlie were married in Sacramento in 1956.

Robina and Charlie enjoyed endless adventures traveling the nation and the world. Upon their Air Force retirement Halstead Industries and family brought them to Wynne AR and then Greensboro NC.

Robina is preceded in death by her siblings Zena, Thomas, Molly, Gwen, John, Bill, June, Malcom and Oliver. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 yrs. Charlie.

Robina’s legacy lives on through her 3 daughters, Charlotte Lisa Myers Berglund (Larry), Martine Myers Offenberger (Phil), Giselle Myers Volpert, and her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Chase and Hayley Volpert.

A Celebration of Life for Charlie and Robina Myers will be held in the spring of 2025 in Forrest City, AR.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks for all friends, neighbors and caregivers from Truewood by Merrill, New Bern, Seniors Choosing to Live at Home New Bern and Pruitt Hospice of New Bern.

Robina was a Duke fan, she loved everything Duke. She was twice a survivor of cancer and she credited her life to Duke Hospital and The Duke Cancer Institute. She was a long time member of Wynne AR Presbyterian Church.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Myers memory to the Duke Cancer Institute, Durham NC or to the Wynne Presbyterian Church Wynne AR.
