Robert retired from NARF at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point after working there for 35 years.
Robert is survived by his sons, Michael Ray Watson and wife, Rochelle and Charles Albert Watson and wife, Sheila; grandchildren, Anthony Watson and his spouse, Lauren, and Sarah Watson Coward and her husband, Jonathan; great-grandson, Emmett; brother, James Watson; and brother-in-law, Rev. Charles Pittman Jr. and wife, Marcia.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Patricia Watson, and brother, Charles Watson.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Cotten Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Service will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park at 3:00 p.m. where Robert will be laid to rest beside his wife, Patricia.
