Bob, I know that you are in Heaven, standing watch.  I  didn’t know that you were there until a few days ago.  You are a good friend, Marine and mentor to so many.   
May you rest in God’s peace and comfort.

Bob and I had the traditional USMC and USN brotherly love/hate friendship. To him I was a navy chef vice Navy Chief and to me he was gummy Bob vice Gunny Bob. However, he was a very knowledgeable and talented technician and taught me a lot about CASS repair. Fair winds and following seas Bob. Rest in Peace for me now have the watch.

I can't express in words how sorry I am for your loss.  Bob was what I would describe as a "Mans Man".   You could count on him to be there to assist in any way he could and always kept to his word.  He was more than just a member of a close knit group of people that ensured the security of our beloved country was taken care of,  He not only had his direct family that he loved and was loved by, but he was a critical person in a much larger family that also loved him and we miss him immensely.

So sorry to see you go Bob, I will miss your laugh and sense of humor. My deepest condolences to you Robin.
Bob is now hanging out will Bil and I can picture the two of them raising Hell in Heaven!

I met Bob when I started at NAVAIR in 2010. He made work fun and was always there to lend a hand. Bob and Robin invited my wife and I on a few boating trips as well, and we always had a wonderful time. He was a great storyteller because he seemed to always be up for any adventure. Bob was thoughtful and generous, and I think of him often. To his family: Our prayers are with you.

Bobby was such a sweet, funny guy.  He will be missed and his kind manner will be remembered.   RIP, dear friend.

Bobby and I were instructors together at NAMTRADET 1100 in the mid '80s.  He and I were the junior sergeants in the Det and I remember him being a lot of fun to be around.  He and I actually got in a little juvenile trouble one time for putting our initials in the newly poured sidewalk outside  our Det.  When the station maintenance crew came through wanting to know who did it.   Nobody said a word but they all knew it was Bobby and I by the initials left in the sidewalk.  Rest in peace Devil Dog.

Gunny Reid was my first "boss". He was so much more then that. He was a mentor. He taught me so much about not only how to be a Marine, but how to be a man. He was my fishing coach, and once he retired, he was like a big brother. 
Rest Easy Gunny, may the water be like a glass pond, and the fish always be biting.

Bob was my Godparent. A family friend. Mentor. Marine. Passionate fisherman. Brother..and always willing to help someone. Bobby took me on my first deep sea fishing trip where I caught my first Mahi.. we grilled it that afternoon at his place. Very fond memories still remain. The man had an infectious smile and a big heart. You'll be missed Sir! Prayers to your family. 

I first met Bob as a young Marine and was blessed to have him in my life throughout my career.  Although I did not see him often it was as if no time had passed each time we saw each other.  My deepest condolences to his family and friends.  Please know that Bob shined a light on everyone he came into contact with and we are all better people for having known him.

Bobby was such a loving soul. He loved Robin so very much. We will always remember the day he told us he had met the love of his life.. He said "this is the one!" We were so privileged to meet Robin and we all knew that she definitely captured his heart and completed him..   It was a pleasure and honor to be considered a friend of Bobby. He always had such an infectious smile that lit up the room. The picture Robin has chosen shows his happiness for life. 
Bobby loved his friend Tony and shared some of their memories when we all  were together which showed the brotherhood bond that was so close in his heart.  I'm sure they are laughing it up in Heaven. GOD has gained a beautiful soul in Heaven and a fierce soldier for his Army.  We love you Bobby. 

Robin, my heart goes out to you now and I know too well all the feelings and emotions you feel now.   Bob was such a nice man and although I didn’t know him well, I had the opportunity to get to know when he came to me as a client and also when he would drop by for gift certificates for you through the years and visit a little.
Two things I will never forget, when he cut up the fallen tree in my back yard after Hurricane Florence when I was at UNC with my husband while he was dying.  It was so amazing that someone I didn’t even know at that time did such a kind thing that helped me during the worse time of my life.
My second memory that was so funny but also showed how much he loved you was when every Christmas he would buy you a large gift certificate from me for massages for you,  the last Christmas he did so, he called me to get it ready to pick up, but the day he was coming, you had an appointment at the end of the day and he was sitting in the parking lot and kept calling me to see if you were leaving and he didn’t want you to see him.  You were visiting with me and was in no hurry and he kept calling and you finally caught on to what was going on.  It was so numerous and also to touching.
I know Bob is not with you in the flesh, but please know he will always be with you and I truly believe he has only shed his body.

Bobby was such a kind giving loving soul. He LOVED Robin with all his heart... I will always remember the day we were so privileged to meet the woman who had stolen his heart. His smile and the twinkle in his eyes as he told us about her was so loving. We knew then Bobby was ready to spend the rest of his life with her.. He was so HAPPY!!  Bobby always smiled, even when at the loss of  his brother Tony, and I'm sure they are laughing it up in Heaven.. Bobby found happy memories and shared some we never knew about their brotherhood/ friendship.. Bobby simply  loved life. He adored his beautiful wife Robin, loved his GOD, his family and everything he did. We all felt his infectious happiness when we were in his company, I feel everyone did and he will be sadly missed... I know he is in Heaven and welcomed by GOD with open arms.. GOD has definitely gained a soldier for his Army.   We will always kept him in our hearts and prayers. Our memories will last forever.. 

... I 'Stu-salute' Bob Reid; what a 'Patriot' and a 'Professional' who contributed to the CASS Team and thus the Navy/USMC.  He was always so dedicated and focused on doing what would help.   And he was always such an inspiration w.r.t. 'making-good-things-happen'.   

	… I think it’s important to ‘make a difference’ in life and he has.  Many people will not recognize that, but us CASS people and his USMC Brothers do.

Robin, our prayers and hearts go out to you. Bob loved you very much and you made his life complete. I've known him since we were young bucks. He was not only one of my dearest friends, he was also my brother and mentor. So many great memories to share, from early days of CASS to all of our camping trips and parties. Through all of that, the time he spent with you I know that he was his happiest. Love always,

Bob was a very genuine person who could be extremely loud with little effort. He was always true to himself and held fast to his beliefs. He was a true patriot and I will miss him. For whatever its worth, he is at peace; beyond all mortal pain and suffering. I pray that God will help navigate Robin and family through these rough waters.

Bob loved the Lord and worshipped many hours outside his way and found a path to also participate in corporate worship. He volunteered with vacation Bible school, church maintenance, and supported the growth of the youth of the church. He took the youth group out fishing several times giving them the support so many desperately needed from an adult. He stood side by side with his father and bride, Robin as the music filled the air and started his week off just right.  Bob loved our kids and grandchildren and often came to the farm for family fun.  He will be missed by the Fleming family and all those who witnessed his smile and laughter

I met Bob in the very first CASS class taught by Mac and Barney way back in the late 80s. Our careers have been strangely paralleled for the last 3 decades or so. He was a wonderful friend and he will be missed by many. I remember visiting his home and was treated to an absolute feast of fish and seafood. A very generous soul to his family and friends. Robin, my deepest condolences to you and your family. 

I have many wonderful memories of Bob. The early ones of him and Bill will never be forgotten, as you cannot put two Alpha’s in the ring without a fight! I’m sure that Bill has been waiting in heaven for someone to give him a run for his money. Let’s hope they don’t get kicked out for orneriness.  I wish Bob peace and Robin strength.

When I joined the CASS family Bob was one of the first people that I met. He welcomed me into this new world of ATE.  I always enjoyed the lively discussion we had at work, fishing and golfing.   He will truly be missed by many people.  My deepest condolences to his family.
