Robert Gordon Reid, age 87 of New Bern, North Carolina went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 29, 2021. Robert was born on June 15, 1934 in Asheville, North Carolina to Gordon Virgil Reid and Eula Irene Freeman.
He was a Master Carpenter by trade and his work was featured in; The Miami Herald, as well as, national publications such as, Better Homes and Gardens, House Beautiful and Architectural Digest. His innovative Moonscape office designed for architect, Charles Pauley was one of a kind.
While living in Miami, Florida, He served for 6 years as Senior Commander of the Royal Rangers in the Assemblies of God and was a member of the Frontiersman Camping Fraternity teaching survival in the Everglades.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patti Corey Reid, son, Robert Thomas Reid of Pennsylvania, brother, Noel Virgil Reid and wife Dorothy of Arden, NC and 3 stepsons, Daniel, David and Thomas.
He is predeceased by his parents, as well as, sister, Ruth Hill of Edneyville, NC and younger brother, Edward Reid of Bastrop, Texas.
The family would to thank Dr. Robert Fisher and all the staff and volunteers of the Craven County Hospice who took such extraordinary care of Robert during his illness.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd, Asheville, NC (date to be announced) where Robert worked for many years in the Ushers Ministry, followed by a sprinkling of ashes over his parents gravesite.
