Aunt Rachel,  I'm sorry of the lost of "uncle" Robert , I can say a truth Dixon thru and thru without a doubt huh, Uncle Robert an I had our differences we have been face to face to each other or point fingers at certain things towards each other in the long run it was the same family an uncle and a nephew, I would call uncle Robert time to time sure we spoke not that anyone knew but after his passing I called his number you answered I knew then Uncle Robert wasn't with us any more but we spoke more then any one probably knew, the things we spoke about was never the things we fought about and this is what kept us in speaking to each other I would call sometimes he would not answer but I would get a call back from him what made it so crazy it was never about what gossip was in the air or out pass dealing we shared together but we never brought up nothing in our pass between us and that's what continue our phone conversation, he would talk about things when he was little of course Buddy and Kim time to time came up I would end our calls with tell Aunt Rachel hello for me not sure if ever once he would tell you he was much like my father at heart soul and mind a true Dixon he told me one time he would see my father turning on leisure lane and wonder if his brother would stop to say hello I once ask my father sitting on the porch what you doing pop he said I was sitting here wondering if my brother would come say hello the two had same he ate towards each other but same love as well a father's love I miss my pop been twenty years as well as my mom I will miss our calls between uncle Robert an I so my he rest now he forever in my dreams and my heart I love you Aunt Rachel God Bless You 

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Rachel at Clark’s Department Store 1983-1986. I worked in the office. I recall Robert and Buddy coming in the store to see Rachel, who could always make me laugh. I know you will miss him. I pray God will comfort you all during this difficult time.

I have so many great memories with a wonderful Uncle. Losing him is like losing my Daddy all over again . He was such a good man, husband,  father, Papa & Uncle. When I needed him & Aunt Rachel the most, they took me in and helped without giving it a second thought. I’ll never be able to fully show my appreciation for all they did but didn’t have to. Everyone always says God took home a good one; this time he took one of the best. I love you Papa. You’ve waited so long to see your Mama, Buddy, & Kimberly and I know you are all together again. I say to you the last thing you said to my Dad when we had to say goodbye to him; laying your hand on his shoulder you said “Save me a place up there big guy”.  Until we meet again Papa…
