Richard William Webb, 75, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Known by many of his friends and family as "Spider" or "Dick," he was a gifted musician and loved to read books of all kinds. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle personality as well as his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wendie Webb; sons, Andrew Webb (Jana) and Eric Webb (Susan); daughter, Brenda Purdy; three grandchildren, Ashley, Mariah, and Dayton; and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to any local animal rescue or shelter.
