Raymond worked with the New Bern Fire Department for 19 years, retiring as a Lieutenant. He also served honorably in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of Doric Lodge No. 568 A.F. & A.M., as well as the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Sudan Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Frances Littleton; and his brothers, Bill Littleton and Ben Littleton.
Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Martha P. Littleton; four nieces and two nephews; as well as his faithful companion, "Taz."
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Cotten Funeral Home (please no visitation at the home). Masonic Rites and Fire Department Honors will be rendered at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Raymond's name to benefit "Journey of Hope," which offers support and assistance to cancer patients and their families.
