He was ordained as a Free Will Baptist minister April 30, 1964 and has been active in the ministry ever since. He was retired from Bosch.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Smith Arthur; son, Michael Owen Arthur (Tracy) of LaGrange; daughter, Cristy Pat Lancaster (Donald) of LaGrange; sister, Pauline Cumbo of New Bern; grandchildren, Randy Arthur (Carmen) and Bethany Ramsey and Courtney Lancaster
Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday at Cotten Funeral Home.
