Minnie Hawkins Scott

She was a fun loving, devoted, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

She received her childhood education from New Bern public schools. Minnie married Samuel Scott. She was a beautician and owned her own shop. She was a committed member of First Baptist Missionary Church, where she joined at the age of 12 under Rev. T.L. Bynum . Minnie was vice president of the pastor aid Committee, a member of the usher board, also a part of the decoration committee, and a dictated member of Sunday School. She had a wonderful sense of humor, supportive, and was dedicated to her family.

She leaves behind to mourn Daughter: Rosalind Robinson of Las Vegas, NV; Twin Sister: Dorothy Bryan of New Bern; Grandson: Terrence Hall & (Donna) of Alexandria, VA; Three Great-Grandchildren: Terryn Hall, Samuel Hall, Julia Davis & (Richard); Best Friend: Sadie Lewis, and a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and Friends.

She is preceded in death by Parents William & Minnie Hawkins; Brothers William, Clinton; and Sister Helen.

Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday December 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist Church, 819 Cypress Street, New Bern, NC 28560.

Rev. Dr. Gregory Holmes, Pastor will officiate the service.
