My husband, Dale, talked very affectionately about Aunt Kay and Uncle Austin before I met the family for the first time.  It was very fortunate for me to marry into a family of great storytellers.  My daughters remember being very assured and proud that Aunt Kay drove their bus for a field trip.  We will always fondly remember her.  We send comforting thoughts to Karen and the family.

I am saddened to hear that Miss Kay has left this earth.  I will miss her laughter and light.  When she walked in she always made our days brighter.    I know she impacted many over the years and pray that her family will find comfort in knowing that her memory will carry on.

Our memories of Kay are countless.   She was a beacon of light to all Eastern Stars.  She continued her driving career picking up all Stars that needed a ride to Chapter meetings and enjoyed visiting the different Chapters.  She touched so many hearts in so many ways and had a smile and hug for everyone and never failed to offer assistance to anyone in need.   She was a world traveler, and enjoyed telling stories of all her adventures.  She will forever be missed by all of us.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with the family during this most difficult time.

Kay was an amazing role model for all women. She was a blessing to all she met but most of all to my children and I. I remember the many talks we had over the 30 years that I knew her. She was wise and always knew what to say to make you feel better. My first memory of her was when my father in law brought her to my job and asked me how I felt about him dating again and I said "Dad, mom's been gone a year and I am happy for you if you have met someone else", over walks Kay, and my life has never been the same! Kay, until we meet again in heaven you will be missed!

I was so blessed to be able to call her grandma! I was blessed and thankful to call her grandma for 30 years! Not by blood, but by heart! My grandmother passed when I was 8. About a month later we went to visit my grandfather Bud Britt,  and there she was sitting in my grandmother's chair, she had been good friends with my grandparents for many years and was  visiting, but at 8 years old I was upset at losing my grandmother and angry and didn't understand. She walked over to me with the sweetest smile and said im not here to replace your grandma, I'm a good friend of your grandparents, and I will never replace her, but not understanding I was a little rude to her, instead of being angry with me, she said that's ok, just know I'm here if you ever need someone to talk to or even just a hug. Fast forward about 30 years, she was the greatest blessing in my and my familys life and I'm forever thankful to God that I was able to call her grandma. She was always there for us as kids and as adults, and was the sweetest and most beautiful angel on earth. I will always love my grandma Britt who went home to heaven when I was so young, but I and my family have been so blessed to call Kay Grandma. She will always have a special place in my heart!!Love you forever grandma Kay!! Thankyou for everything ❤  we will always love and miss you!!! 

Aunt Kay and Uncle Austin were always my favorite aunt and uncle. When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I notified my parents that I wanted to be adopted by my aunt and uncle. And I was serious! It never happened, but I have always remembered that desire and I will always treasure the way the two of them made me feel very special. They were the ones who were very special. May they Rest In Peace.

Kay, I will always remember our trip to Ireland.  It took you about 5 seconds to talk me into going with you. .  It was a great trip and a time I will never forget.
