Marjorie was born on May 17, 1927 in Camaguey, Cuba the daughter of a successful British father and American mother who were living there. They enjoyed a great life in Cuba until the Batista takeover in 1935. The family sought refuge in America, living in Orlando, Florida before settling in Takoma Park, Maryland. Marjorie attended high school at the Forest Lake Academy in Orlando, Florida and graduated from the Washington Missionary College, Takoma Park, Maryland. Marjorie will be remembered as a beautiful and kind-spirited woman who made friends easily. Following her move from Florida to New Bern in 2004 to be closer to family, she so enjoyed the luncheons with her wonderful friends in the Greenbrier Backwoods and fun times spent with family. She had a great love of golfing with her one true love; gardening, including her beautiful roses; feeding the many birds in her garden; sewing; baking her delicious apple pies; and creating a beautiful home. She will be greatly missed by her adoring husband, children and her many friends.
