Marilyn Fussell Norris, formerly of Morehead City, died peacefully at her home in New Bern with her family at her side on Saturday, December 9th, 2017.
She lived a full life with countless memories of her kindness and friendship that will live on in her four children; Rebecca (Steve), Jeffery (Angela), Patrick (Stacey) and Anthony (Lisa), ten grandchildren, and many friends.
Marilyn’s life included several careers and many accomplishments. In her retirement years, Marilyn loved playing bridge, working in her garden, and traveling and making tollhouse (GiGi) cookies for her family. She courageously pursued an Associate’s Degree at CCC and received her college diploma at the age of 86 following a 60+ year absences from school to raise and support her family.
The family is most appreciative of the many caregivers who provided loving care in her final days with special recognition to the staff of Craven County Hospice – true angels on Earth.
To honor Marilyn’s request, there will be no funeral service.
