Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, William Bryan Simpson, Jr. and Laura Cowell Simpson.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Bolton & husband Donald of Newport; son, Herman Henries, Jr. of New Bern; companion of 40 years, Jimmie Allen; grandchildren, Erica Hancock, Clayton Hancock, Jeffrey Moore, Jr. & wife Kaselun, Jessica Henries, Herman Henries, III & wife Kaylee; and Jimmy Henries; great grandchildren, Gracelynn, Maggie Jae, Layla, Dacoda, Alaina, and Jaxon; sisters, Daisy Duncan, Jackie Houston & husband Robert, Laura Love Simpson, and Dorothy Armstrong & husband Dicky; brothers, William Bryan "Billy" Simpson, III and Wayne Simpson; nieces, Sherri, Nell, Tracy, & Miranda; nephews, Dallas, Mark, Lee, Chris, & Craig; thirteen great nieces and nephews; and eight great great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th at Cotten Funeral Home.
