Marcia "Marcy" Ruth Kaptain

Marcia "Marcy" Ruth Kaptain, 94, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Marcy was born on January 26, 1928 in Garfield, New Jersey to the late Adolph Miller and Matilda Keszegi Miller.

Marcia loved to read and create. She made afghans from needlepoint and many crafts. She was a health care worker. She volunteered with Cub Scouts. She enjoyed camping, dogs, soccer, and birds. In addition to her many hobbies her greatest joy was spending time with her family and traveling with her husband which she loved to do.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Walter A. Kaptain, three sons; Joseph Kaptain and wife, Debbie, Dennis Kaptain and wife, Karen, and Walter Kaptain and wife, Robin, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and one on the way, 7 great-great grandchildren, sister, Audrey Nemeth, niece and nephew, Richard and Noreen Miller, as well as, many other nieces and nephews and friends.

She is predeceased by brothers; Warren Miller and Adolph Miller.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled in the near future.
