Lynn Lanyon Paschal

Lynn Lanyon Paschal, age 69, of New Bern passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Born in Buffalo, New York, Lynn was a free spirit who was an excellent dancer and natural born artist who enjoyed crafts and painting ceramics. She and her husband, Jerry, were members of New Life Church where she participated in the choir, and loved to sing an occasional solo. Lynn could be seen during the Christmas season as "Mrs. Claus" at the entrance of Wal-Mart for many years. Above all, Lynn loved her children and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Lorraine Fuchs of Pennsylvania and her husband, Jerry Paschal, Sr. of New Bern; as well as her granddaughter, Hailey Paschal.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, children, Michele Lee (Keith), Michael Lanyon (Stephanie), Andy Paschal (Sherry) and Robert Paschal (Wendy), all of New Bern; brother, Francis Fuchs and sisters, Laura Jean Peacock (Donald) and Carol Fuchs Beck, all of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, James Lanyon (Laura), Sean Lee (Millie), Tyler Holland, Michael-John Lanyon, Nick Lee, Luke DeBue, Leigha Lanyon, Savannah Paschal, Kaylee Paschal, Owen Barlow, Cameron Barlow, and Star Paschal; three great grandchildren, Maddox Lanyon, Raelynn Lanyon, and Talan Lanyon; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 11 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m. in the Chapel.
