She is survived by her son Donald Matthews (wife Ann) of Cove City; Sister Julie Rouse (husband Elmer) of Cove City; Grandchildren, Carol, Tiffany, Ashley, Kyle, Sophia, Amber, Zachary, Hunter and Greyson; Special friend Amber Kornegay; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edgar “Sonny” Leffler, sister Eloise White and grandson Junior (JR) Jones.
Memorial service will be held at Pookie’s home place Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the “Residents Fund” payable to Bayview Rehabilitation Center, at 3003 Kensington Park Dr, New Bern, NC 28560.
