Linwood Earl Fulcher, Jr., age 70, of New Bern, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1952 to the late Linwood Earl Fulcher Sr. and Polly Fulcher and built his life on the family farm. Linwood (Lynn) started his career with the Carolina Telephone company and diligently served his community through this role until he retired 44 years later.
Lynn was an avid outdoorsman and loved being in nature where he said he felt most connected to God, in His creation. He organized numerous archery elk hunting trips with friends and family over the years in the mountains of Colorado and maintained friendships across the nation in the hunting community. He was passionate about teaching his family about hunting, farming, and sharing his love of the outdoors. He loved hiking, traveling, kayaking, farming and maintained his homeplace, the farm he grew up on, with passion and care. He was a life-long athlete and self-taught jack of all trades. He was dedicated to his family, loved to serve others and loved to make people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Clark Fulcher, and three children, Linne Fulcher (Crystal), Kevyn Fulcher (Kimberly), and Aspyn Fulcher (Biagio); and step daughter, April Lewis (Edgar) He is also survived by six grandchildren; Bryana Fulcher, Braydin Fulcher, Brycen Fulcher, Kellyn Fulcher, and Kacey Fulcher; great-granddaughter, Bella Fulcher; sister, Nancy Jones; nephews Chris Jones, TJ Fulcher, and Luke Fulcher; and niece, Tiffany Fulcher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two siblings: Debbie Lou Fulcher and Tilghman Fulcher.
An open visitation will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5 from 6-8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fulcher Family Cemetery on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family will be grateful for donations in Linwood’s honor to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission or The Flat Tops Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
