Linda Diane Neal, 71, of New Bern, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 30th, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother and Mee Maw who was devoted to all of her family and was the biggest supporter of her two grandchildren. Linda was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, John R. Urton, Jr. and Betty Jean Urton. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William Neal; her children, Rick Neal (Kathy) and Mark Neal (Maureen); brothers, Michael Urton (Liz) and John Urton (Kathy); two grandchildren, Joshua Neal and Kayla Bass (Eli); and her beloved dog, "Gidget."
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 4th from 1 to 2 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Williams officiating. She will be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
