Linda had many passions to include crafts of all kinds. She also liked genealogy research, airplanes, and gardening. She was a previous member of the Community Bible Study. Linda had a creative and witty sense of humor. She loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. She was extremely devoted to her family. Linda retired from civil service at Cherry Point as an Aviation Metalsmith.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 8 years Charles E. Krause, daughters Ronni Herold (Dean), Patti Humphries (Dennis Tobin), step-daughter Crissy Toles (Jimmy), adopted daughter Beverly Husted, three grandchildren Jimmy Humphries (Caitlin Stein), Ashley Girard (Edde), and Alyssa Humphries (Brandon Pierce), two great grandchildren Amy Biggers and Chloe Pierce, dear lifelong friend Butch James, her special companions Sassy, Doozy, Lil Mo, and Tommy, and her many dear friends from Crossroads Baptist Church.
The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their kindness, compassion and encouragement during this journey and Linda's birthday buddy Pastor Kevin VaLeu of Crossroads Baptist Church.
The family will accept flowers at the church or memorial donations in Linda's honor to Crossroads Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church, 1802 US 70 E, New Bern, NC 28560. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest following the service in New Bern Memorial Cemetery, 1112 Chelsea Road, New Bern, North Carolina 28562.
