Kerri Ann Witthaus, 46, of New Bern, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 with her husband and daughter by her side. Kerri was born on March 16, 1975 in Clearwater, Florida to Michael Semon and Jane Albach Semon. Kerri was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. She eventually moved to Elizabeth City, North Carolina where she met many friends.
Kerri was a fiercely loyal and loving woman. She was strong, determined and never gave up. She never met a stranger, was a good listener and talked a lot; even to random animals and her beloved pets. She was funny, outgoing, and depending on the company could curse like the most saltiest of sailors and laugh at herself. She prided herself on keeping confidences and honesty. Most importantly she was dedicated to her family; blood, chosen and her tribe.
Kerri had a deep thirst for knowledge and helping others. She was generous with all that she had and pushed those around her to do and be the same. She had high standards for herself and others, in a gentle or maybe not so much way when needed.
Kerri loved BIG and openly. She knew who she was and stood firmly in that truth nudging others to do the same.
Anchored in that truth, she did what was right, not what was easy. When she was right she stood her ground and when she wasn't she apologized.
She would want people to say, "She finished well."
She is survived by her husband, Destry Witthaus, daughter, Alexandra Voltaggio, step-children, Brayden and Camden Witthaus and grandson, Oliver Taylor
She is predeceased her grandmother, Betty Mae Johnston.
