Karen Marie Hill, 31, died unexpectedly on August 1, 2011 at her residence.
She worked as a waitress for several local restaurants. Karen's greatest accomplishment was being a good mother to her son, Cameron Austin McSorley, whom she loved with all her heart.
In addition to her son, Karen is survived by her parents, James G. Hill and Janet Fulcher Hill; paternal grandparents, James and Rachel Hill; and maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Barbara Fulcher, all of New Bern; and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, August 4th at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 5th at Cotten Funeral Home with burial following the service in New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
