Joseph "Joe" Franklin Grady II age 38, of Kinston, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, February 18, 2022. He was born on June 29, 1983 to Susan D Grady in Willingboro, NJ. He was raised by his loving grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Franklin Grady.
Joe graduated from Holy Cross Prep High-school and later proceeded in his goals of helping people as much he could. He pursued a passion in ministry, but due to a circumstance beyond his control, he later took that same passion into long his term sales career. Joe decided he wanted to do more so he took that passion to pursue a dream career of working as an EMT but also working towards being a paramedic.
Joe was man that had a lot of hobbies during his spare time, from going to gun range to spending time with his wife for their daily outings.
What type of person was Joe? Hard to describe fully in words, but he was a man that loved his Arizona Ice Tea to doing his famous fist pump with all his pals. Joe loved his smoker grills and wanted to one day open his own called, ”Joker’s South.” The inside name he had with his wife. Joe’s personality was known as an educator at heart.
Joe looked at his EMT partners not just as friends but as apart of a brotherhood. Joe was known as everyone’s comic relief.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Shaquim Grady of NC; grandmother (mom), Molly Grady of NJ; Mom, Susan D Grady of NJ; brother, Fredrick Nichols of NJ; sisters, Shale’y Washington of NY, Syeritta Tucker of NJ, Shronda Clark of NC, O’niesha Clark of NJ, Orlondra Clark of NY, Danielle Grady of NJ; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather (dad), Joseph Grady, Sr.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Temple Baptist Church. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will follow at 3:00 PM.
Joe left a mark with many people young and old and will truly be missed.
