Joseph Henry "Joey" Haddock, III

Joseph Henry "Joey" Haddock, III, age 62, of Trent Woods, North Carolina passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Joey was a member, past chief and board member at West of New Bern Fire Department. He was also a member of Ionic Lodge A.F. & A.M. as well as the Sudan Shrine. He worked with First Citizens Bank for 18 years before moving to Harvey's Fertilizer and Gas in Kinston. When his boys were in high school, Joey helped create the New Bern High School mens lacrosse team. In his spare time, Joey enjoyed his membership at the Eastern Carolina Yacht Club and cheering on the NC State Wolfpack.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph Henry "Hank" Haddock, IV (Aubrey) of Trenton and Jarvis Franklin "Frank" Haddock of Trent Woods; sister, Julia Kaye Haddock Howard (David) of Little River, SC; brother, Jeffrey Brant Haddock (Sandra) of Trent Woods; nephews, Justin Howard and Jacob Haddock; niece, Emily Haddock; and his beloved dog, "Mich."

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 21st at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, July 22nd at Cotten Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest with Fireman's Honors at the Trenton Cemetery.

The family also invites friends to an informal celebration of Joey's life from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 22nd at the Eastern Carolina Yacht Club.
