Jo Ann Gatlin

Jo Ann Casey Gatlin passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 after a short battle with her health. She was born on May 13, 1938 to Elijah and Elizabeth Casey of Pamlico County. She spent her childhood on Bayleaf Road until meeting the love of her life, Miller Gatlin. She has spent most of her adult life in the Raleigh / Cary area.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Gatlin; parents, Elijah and Elizabeth Casey; brothers, Ronald Casey, Billy Casey, and Charles Casey.

She is survived by her husband, Miller Gatlin; sister, Mary Carraway; sister-in-laws; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other family and friends. Thank you to those that were there throughout this difficult time.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Westwood Baptist Church, visitation at 2:00 p.m. and service to follow at 3:00 p.m.

There will also be a service in New Bern at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Greenleaf Memorial Park Lakeside Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
