Jacob Scott Petteway

Jacob attended schools in Havelock, North Carolina graduating early to become a US Marine. As a USMC veteran he graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Philosophy. He was accepted at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego having completed his first year. He was interning for the San Diego Public Defender's Office this summer, letting his light shine as bright as he could.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Michael Gene Petteway & Ruth Stilley Petteway, David J. James, and Uncle Tim Petteway.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Carla Petteway; brothers, Adam and Kevin; Maternal Grandmother, Jeweldine Hancock James; 6 uncles, 7 aunt and 15 cousins.

Services for Jacob will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 visitation will start at 2:00 pm with service following at 3:00 pm all located at Bridgeton Christian Church. Pastor Allen Stabley will be officiating over service, we will be remembering Jacob with a version of " Amazing Grace" by Dan Vasc chosen by his mother.

The remembrance table is honoring the beautiful walk he was making on his life's journey.
