He was a lifetime member of Antioch FWB church, as well a deacon for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife Mary Elaine Tripp of New Bern, NC; one son Christopher Matthew Tripp of New Bern, NC; two step sons Craig Warren of Vanceboro, NC and Joe Warren of Greenville, NC; one daughter Kristie Marie Tripp of Yuma, AZ; one brother James Thaddeus Tripp of New Bern, NC; one sister Ann Banks of Ernul, NC; and four grandchildren..

Funeral services will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 12:00 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2012 and last until 2:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S Glenburnie Rd, New Bern, NC 28562. or Antioch FWB Church, 762 Antioch Rd., New Bern, NC 28560
