He attended Grace Baptist Church in Newport. He was retired from the Craven County Schools Maintenance Department.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Eborn; three sons, Mark Eborn of New Bern, Daniel Eborn of Chesapeake, VA and Joseph Eborn of Newport; three brothers, Clyde Eborn of Newport, James Eborn and Roy Eborn both of New Bern; five sisters, Linda Penney of Benson, NC, Alice Asby of Morehead City, Laura Lockwood of Morehead City, Sady Wooten of New Bern, Lillian Ortley of Benson, NC; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Newport. Burial will follow in the Croatan Cemetery.
