Faye Civils Jones

Faye Shelton Jones, age 83, of Dover, North Carolina went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Faye was born on September 24, 1939 in Craven County, North Carolina to the late Lonnie Guy and Minnie Raye Mercer Civils.

She loved the Lord, her family, and her three fur babies. Faye enjoyed singing in church and oysters. She loved her church family and her pastor.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Clifton Jones, three daughters, Cecilia Wayne, Shirley Bell (Donald), and Darlene Mayo, one son, Cecil McDaniel Brinson, Buddy Jones and Leona Willeford, grandchildren, Shawn Wayne (Dana), Curt Jenkins, Matt Jenkins, Amy Bell Lockwood (Earl), Jeremy Bell, Jennifer Brinson, and Kevin Brinson, twenty great grandchildren and two nieces JoAnn and Janie.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her son, Rodney Earl Cox.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Wintergreen Free Will Baptist Church, 2175 Wintergreen Rd, Cove City, NC 28523. A Celebration of her life will follow at 12:00 PM.
