Elizabeth Ann Jones

Teny attended New Bern High School and later went to the Salvation Army school for officer's training. She greatly enjoyed singing and playing in the Salvation Army Band and absolutley loved southern gospel music, especially the Gaither Homecoming concerts and cruises. She loved to travel and would often have yard sales to help pay for the cruises she went on.

A big fan of the E.C.U. Pirates, Carolina Panthers, and the Washington Redskins, Teny and Cleo did their best not to miss a ball game. She was very talented in crocheting and plastic canvas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgie Heath Horner; father, Eugene Brinson; sister, Meta Joyce Brinson; and two nephews, Billy Cerdas and Edward G. Steward.

Surviving her is her husband of 61 years, Harold Cleo Jones; daughter, Rebecca Ann Hickerson; grandchildren, Victoria Ann Hickerson and Christine Marie Johnson (Daniel); and two nephews, Michael Eugene Steward (Susan) and Howard Joseph Smith (Donna).

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10th at the Salvation Army.
