Edward "Eddie" Morton Moore

Edward (Eddie) Morton Moore, 58, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17 at Beech Grove Methodist Church in New Bern, NC officiated by Rev. Connie M. Stutts. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A private inurnment will follow after the service.

Eddie was born February 11, 1965 to Royce (RC) Clayton Moore, Jr., and Betty Morton Moore in New Bern, NC. He was preceded in death by his father, R.C. Moore. He is survived by his mother, Betty M. Moore, sisters, Cynthia "Cindy" M. Jones (Ricky), Susan Baty (Chip) and Juliet M. Meyer (Rich) and brother Royce "Rusty" Clayton Moore, III (Pauline). He is also survived by nephews, Joshua Jones (Mary), Clayton Moore, nieces, Kaitlyn Moore-Hissom (Madison), Jaime Donham (Kyle), Sara Peele (Zack) and several great nieces and great nephews as well as his best friend Gene Waters.

Eddie was a graduate of West Craven High School and Lenoir Community College with an Associate Degree in Horticulture. He later established his own business: Landscape, Design & Maintenance.

He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed riding around his farm looking at his cattle and crops. Spending time with family and friends brought him much joy whether it was ski vacations, family gatherings at the river or pig pickings. He was one of a kind, liked by all and will truly be missed.
