Duane Gordon Smith

Assisted Living in Pink Hill, NC. He was born on February 19, 1932 in Rowan

County, NC to the late Mack and Madre Smith.

Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Fisk Smith of New Bern; daughter, Anne Marie Bennett

of New Bern; son, Nathan Smith and wife, Sherry of New Bern; grandchildren,

Orion and Sierra Smith.

He is also survived by brothers, Kearney of South Mountain, NC, Kenneth of

China Grove, NC and Daniel of China Grove, NC; Sisters, Janet of Troy, NC,

And Patsy of China Grove, NC.

Duane graduated from Landis High School and NC State University and served in the US Navy with the Hurricane Hunters based in Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 20 in the Chapel at Cotten Funeral Home, New Bern with Pastor Stephane Kalonji of Reformation Lutheran Church officiating. Visitations will be from 1-2 pm prior to the service and again following the service.

Inurnment will be at a later date in East Lawn Cemetery, Williamstown, MA.
