Dollie Careway Reed

Dollie Careway Reed, 50, of New Bern, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at her home. She was a former employee of the Kellum Law Firm and had also worked as a local radio DJ, known on air as "Doll Baby." She was a member of Sherwood Forest Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Careway, Jr. and is survived by her mother, Evelyn Careway; fiancée, Gordon Laks; brothers, James W. Careway, III (Lynda) and William V. Careway (Cathy); sister, Gwendolyn C. Parish (Steve); two daughters, Jessica Louise Tripp (Corey) and Kelsey Paige Ipock (Kenly); two grandchildren, Danica Tripp and Melody Robinson; as well as several aunts and uncles. The family is especially grateful to her cousin, Cheryl Lee, and her niece, Taimi Bahreini, for their loving care.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30th at the Lakeside Chapel on the grounds of Greenleaf Memorial Park.
