Daniel Joseph Severin

Daniel Joseph Severin, age 77, of New Bern, North Carolina passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. A Vietnam veteran, Dan proudly served in the U.S. Army where he helped build a model village for orphans in Thailand through his work with the Army Corps of Engineers. Dan served as the facilities manager at Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana, PA for many years before retiring to North Carolina. He enjoyed raising peacocks and many other types of birds.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Severin of the home; children, Stephanie Severin, Gwen Sutton (Leo), Colleen Schirato (Dan), Robert Yoder (Kelly) and Jeffrey Yoder (Erika), all of Pittsburgh, PA; brothers, John Severin (Alberta), Jerry Severin (Judy), and Michael Severin (Martha); sisters, Pat Niehenke, Karen Severin, Cecelia Severin Connors (Ken), Susan Nicoloff (Greg), and Rosalyn Servinsky (Larry); grandchildren, Darius Schirato, Greenlee Schirato, Luke Sutton, Rebecca Lynn Yoder, Courtney Marie Yoder and Bethany Marie Yoder.

The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date at the family farm in Pennsylvania.
