Daniel Kevin Leister

He was preceded in death by his father Earl Leister Jr. and daughter Rachel Leister.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife Barbara, son, Jason Leister (Jenny) of Front Royal, VA, mother, Wanda Leister, and sister, Debra Wilks (Jerry) of Geneva, NY.

Dan served his country faithfully in the United States Airforce. He retired from his career in civil service as a photographer for over 40 years. Dan was privy to see many interesting and remarkable things during his time working for the government. He was also a very active member of the American Legion Post #539. He was also a very avid fisherman, and belonged to the New Bern Fishing Club, enjoying many of the outings with the group. Dan was always telling stories and jokes. He was a very caring and compassionate person with a deep love for his family and country.

A private funeral service will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
