Clark loved music, boating, gardening, football, especially the Carolina Panthers, and his beloved dog, Casper. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and sang in the sanctuary choir. Clark retired from the city of Norwalk, CT. He was a journeyman in the printing trade for six years. He served his country during World War II as a Staff Sergeant and was stationed mostly in Germany for 8 years. At the end of the war, he spent three years in the U.S. Horse Cavalry as a “Pony Soldier” patrolling the Czechoslovakian border.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Judson and Earl; and his sister, Pearl.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda; daughter, Heidi DiBella and husband, Paul, of New Bern; stepson, Joseph Iannone and wife, Megan; stepdaughter, Lisa Gloates and husband, Ira; two step grandchildren, Caitlin Iannone and Daniel Gloates; and nephew Gregory and wife, Tina, of Sun City, Arizona.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at First Baptist Church with visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Clark’s name may be made to the Colonial Capitol Humane Society.
