Charles Ernest Skinner, 83, born in Lufkin, Texas, living in New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

Charles proudly served in the US Army Reserves for two years. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was always ready for a conversation and had many sayings that kept the family laughing. Charles/Dad/Grandad/G-Dog was known for singing a few favorite tunes like Elvis's "Be Bop A Lula" and Frank's, "Yes Sir That's My Baby".

He is survived by his son, Brian Skinner and wife, Lana; daughter, Katherine Miller; grandchildren, Jennifer Bruce, Brittany Sugg, Taylor Skinner, Adam Fontenote, Callie Fontenote, Hannah Skinner and Noah Miller; and many loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Pauline Skinner; brother, David Skinner Sr.; and sister, Katy Miceli.

A Celebration of Charles' Life for immediate family will be held at a later date.
