Catherine was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Sara Kee Class and Wesleyan Circle.
A Graduate of East Carolina Teachers College she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and taught at Bridgeton Elementary School for 37 years. She was a member of the National Education Association, North Carolina Association of Educators and the local teachers organization.
Celebration of Remembrance and Entombment will be held October 18, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Greenleaf Memorial Park, Lakeside Chapel, 900 River Road, New Bern, NC 28560.
Survivors are John and Claudia Toner, also many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wesley Commons (Retirement Community) Assisted Living Activities Fund, 1110 Marshall Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
Arrangements are in the care of Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory.
