Billy Harold Carter, Jr.

Born August 7, 1942, in Lorado, WV, he was the son of the late Billy Harold Carter, Sr. and Dorothy Spears.

Billy enjoyed American muscle cars, bowling, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his Boykin spaniels and family. He was the co- owner of BLG Electrical Supply and former Vice-President of Craven Electric.

Billy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Adkins Carter, three sons Jeffery Harold Carter and wife Kim, of Ozarks, Alabama; Jonathan Scott Carter and William David Carter, both of New Bern; a special daughter Wendy Carter of New Bern; two sisters Wynona Pitchell, of Yonges Island, SC; Erin McRoy of Chocowinity, NC; and a brother Eric Harold Carter, of Chocowinity, NC; and his grandchildren, Anders Jeffery Carter and wife Katie, Christopher Leo Carter, Rayna Kelsey Carter and Katie Carter.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
