Grandma-where would we be if it was not for you and all the wonderful life lessons you taught us all. Whether big or small we all learned something from you every time we were around. I saw your love and kindness each and every time we as a family were all together. I know you will always be with us and you shine through in each one of your children. Jimmy (my father) took on your protective nature, Terry has your wisdom, Gus always has a witty comeback, Cindy is always so kind and generous, Mike can always tell a story just like you and make us laugh, Skipper brings the music, and Chipper is always very easy going. I have memories associated with each one of these stories and how you alone grandma made all of this possible. I have a million stories that I could ramble on about but you know them all line by line and I hope they still fill you with joy to know that you have made a huge impact on me. I am very happy to know that you will forever be in our hearts shaping us into wonderful individuals as you did for your children. I am grateful to have known you and I am grateful to have a part of you still day by day. God bless you Grandma and watch over Hunter. We love you bigger than life. Keep the music playing. XOXO

we were so sorry to hear of Bettys passing, I worked with Betty for many years at Atlantic Beach Police Dept. She would always make you feel like she was so happy to see you,, I know she is in Heaven now, with her guitar trying to put a song together, all she had to do, is get a theme in her head and she sing something to go with it... Although I lived over a thousand miles away from you, I thought about you almost daily. I loved being able to come out to NC to see you almost every summer. I can still remember running around the flea market with Hayden on my back looking for items to make mom and dad buy for me. I wish I was able to rewind the past four years so that I would have been able to see you more often. You were a great grandmother and a true role model. How you managed to raise my dad and six others I will never know. But one thing I do know is that you were a great mother to them and your love and parenting skills transfered down to them to share to their children. I love you and miss you grandma. I am glad that I was able to share your final hours with you! "You gave me hope. You gave me strength. And when I'd see you smile, you gave me joy!" - 'Carry On' written by you grandma. Say hi to Hunter for me. You two are my guardian angels and I know you two are always with me. I love you grandma!

I will miss you Betty. You taught me so much when I was starting out as a dispatcher and was always there to help me. I especially remember the department get-togethers when you would play your guitar. You were as equally talented as you were kind. Keep looking out for us in Heaven and keep playing that guitar in that angel band.
