Ann Cox Register

She was a special wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was a very important part of her life. Her busy days were spent bookkeeping at Heavy Duty Truck, running a household, taking care of grandchildren, being an admirable mom and loving wife. In any free time, she enjoyed working in the yard and spending family time at the beach.

She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Walter E. Register of the home and three daughters: Cindy R. Brown and husband, Greg of Sneads Ferry, Susan R. Sugg and husband, Lindsey, Candi R. Stilley and husband, Pat all of Cove City. She has six grandchildren: Allison and Christopher Brown, Courtney and Dylan Sugg and Carlee and Carsyn Stilley.

Even though she was an only child, she grew up with her aunts and uncles as if they were her brothers and sisters. They are Toby McDaniel and wife, Ruth of Pine Knoll Shores, Sarah Jackson and husband, “Pee Wee” of New Bern, Patricia Ward and husband, Braxton of Wilmington, Mary “Tiny” Lewis of Ayden and Gladys Baxter of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nannie Mae Edwards; her granny, Sadie Quinn McDaniel; her grandfather, Milton McDaniel and her uncles, John H. Cox, Frank McDaniel and Jamie Cox.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1780 Asbury Road, Cove City, NC.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Cotten Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chandler and Rev. Mike Register officiating. Burial will be in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.
