William J. Krouzek Jr

William J. Krouzek, Jr., 85 of New Bedford passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of his beloved late wife Beatrice (Mendonca) Krouzek and the late Janice (Gonzaga) Krouzek.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late William J. Krouzek, Sr. and the late Delores (Brisette) Krouzek; William was a lifelong resident of the city. William was a graduate of New Bedford High School and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard. He was employed for more than 40 years at Paul Modes and later Calvin Klein retiring in 2005. He was also employed part time at Rochester Memorial School and Poyant Signs for many years.

William is survived by his loving children, Debra Pickup and her husband Steven of Mattapoisett, Christine Desrosiers and her husband Paul of Wareham, Patricia Westgate and her husband Chester of Lakeville, Cheryl Krouzek and her spouse Melanie Camara of New Bedford and William J. Krouzek III of New Bedford; 10 grandchildren, Andrea Simonin and her husband Joshua, Allison Costa and her husband Anthony, Jessica Reilly and her husband James, the late Jocelyn Marcotte, Stephanie Moran and her husband Ross, Erin Garris and her husband Christian, Andrew Poyant, Kate Hughes and her husband Brandon, Amanda Black-Ingersoll and her husband Tristan, Brian Krouzek and Ethan Camara Krouzek; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Beatrice Normandin, Ruth Cassidy, Gertrude Lavoie, Rita Lajoie, Kathleen Rocha, Diane Demanche, Ronald and Robert Krouzek.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10:00AM in St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited.
