William Andrade

Born in New Bedford on January 24, 1928, he was son of the late Joaquim and Mary (Medeiros) Andrade.

After high school, William served in the U.S. Navy during World War II attaining the rank of Seaman First Class. He married Lorraine LeBlanc in 1948. They celebrated 55 years of marriage.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Lorraine and daughter Gail Andrade Kahn, and siblings, Joseph, Manuel and Everett Andrade, Idalina Barreto, Irene Cabral and Maime Sardinha.

Surviving are a son, Michael Andrade and his wife Elaine of East Freetown; a daughter Patricia Guay and her husband Paul of Lake Wales, FL; two grandchildren, Kristine Guay of Franklin and Steven Guay of Rocky Hill, CT; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 8am from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Funeral Mass at 9am in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 121 Mt.
