Wanda M. (Glenney) Bond, a beloved resident of Acushnet, passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Born in Anaconda, Montana, she was the daughter of the late Roy P. Glenney and Angeline (Schaumen) Glenney. Wanda was a sweet soul, known for her kind-hearted, gentle, and selfless nature, always with a smile on her face.
Wanda sadly passed away from lung cancer at Care One in New Bedford, MA. Throughout her life, she worked in various hotels as a housekeeper. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, such as going to the casinos, playing cards, shopping, and indulging in fried chicken and her favorite candies. Her favorite color was pink, and she cherished her collection of stuffed teddy bears and her beloved cats. Wanda took great pride in raising her only daughter and deeply enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warm smile and joyful spirit will be missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Patricia DoCouto, and her husband Robert of Acushnet; her grandchildren, Jessica DoCouto of New Bedford, Alyssa DoCouto and her partner Nicholas McGannon-Messier of Acushnet, Rebecca Medeiros and her husband Myles of New Bedford, Vanessa DoCouto and her partner Shane Pettey of New Bedford, and Jacob DoCouto of Acushnet; her great-grandchildren, Emmalyn, Christopher, and Wrenley McGannon-Messier, all of Acushnet; her sisters, Joyce Currie of Bothell, WA. She was the twin of the late Wayne Glenney.
