Victor T. Pacheco

Victor T. Pacheco, 55, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Tavares) Pacheco.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Martin Pacheco of New Bedford and the late Isaura (Torres) Pacheco, he was a lifelong resident of the city.

Victor was a hard working commercial fisherman in New Bedford.

He loved spending time with his loving daughter and granddaughter.

Surviving in addition to his father is a daughter, Shannon E. Pacheco of New Bedford; a sister, Lucia Rei of North Providence; a granddaughter, Abigail Ventura; and his godchildren, Jessica and Thomas Rei, Brittany and Joshua Cassidy.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St., New Bedford followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
