Born in Dartmouth and one of the eight children of the late Joseph and Mary (Mularczyk) Gulczynski he lived most of his life in New Bedford. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, New Bedford.
Mr. Golenski served in the United States Army and later became the owner of Carpets of Cape Cod. He also owned Whaling Port Industries where he made woodworking goods that he sold to various gift shops. Ted and his wife Dolly enjoyed spending time with the Acushnet Seniors.
He is survived by his daughter, Gayle DiChiara and her husband Peter of Greenwood, SC; two grandchildren, Anthony DiChiara and Lee DiChiara; one great grandson, Anthony “JR” DiChiara, Jr..
His funeral will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10 am in ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-7 pm.
