Terry James Medeiros, age 56, passed away April 20, 2018 while vacationing in Jamaica. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late James M. Medeiros and late Phyllis L. (Menard) Cabral, and step-son of the late Joseph J. Cabral, Jr.
He was a 1979 graduate of Dartmouth High School and a 1981 graduate of Rhode Island School of Electronics. He worked as a Network Engineer and Field Support Specialist in the Information Technologies industry. Terry loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams.
He is survived by a son, Ryan T. Medeiros and his wife Michelle of Dartmouth, a daughter, Rachel Medeiros of Westport, his fiancé, Susan Marx of Plymouth, a sister, Linda M. Medeiros of Wenham, three brothers: Bruce Medeiros of Warwick, Richard Medeiros and his wife Lynn of Freetown, Joseph Cabral of Boston, two grandchildren: Gloria Monteiro and the awaited Cody Medeiros, as well as several nieces and nephews.
His visitation will be held on Monday April 30, 2018 from 5-8pm at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday May 1, 2018 at 10am at St. Joseph-St. Therese Parish, Acushnet Ave, New Bedford (Everyone to meet at church). Private burial at a later date.
