Susan Rita Mull

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Edward H. and Pauline Rita (Charette) Jennings, she lived in Rochester and East Freetown throughout her life.

Susan was a graduate of New Bedford High School Class of 1964 and worked for many years at Chamberlain and most recently at Precix as an inspector as well as Wal-Mart. Her world revolved around spending time with and telling stories about her grandchildren “Little Mommy” and “JLo”. She loved spending time laughing with family, friends (especially Rose and June) and the Lemon Drop Martini Girls. She will be remembered for her quick wit and knick names. She was known to all as “Yazzy”.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Lopes of East Freetown, 2 grandchildren, Jeffrey Wilson and Savannah Victoria Lopes of East Freetown. She was the sister of Michael Jennings and his wife Elaine of Mattapoisett, Cynthia A. Hamlet and her husband Wayne of North Dartmouth, Paula E. Jennings and her companion James of Fairhaven; 4 nieces and 5 nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward H. Jennings, Jr. and his late wife Donna.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2013, at 1pm at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her honor may be made to to a charity, hospital, school, library or any other organization that has meaning to you.
