Steven Wayne Gauthier

Steven W. Gauthier, 65, of New Bedford, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 in Care One of New Bedford, with his family by his side. He was the son of William Gauthier Sr., and the late Helen (Maciel) Gauthier.

Born in Acushnet, Steven was a graduate of Fairhaven High School, Class of 1973. He was employed as a maintenance worker for Cody and Tobin Company for many years. Steven loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Steven was an extremely generous person. He enjoyed fishing and loved his friends dearly.

He is survived by a daughter, Crystal Benoit of Fairhaven; his siblings, William Gauthier, Jr. and his wife Debra of New Bedford, Robert Gauthier and his wife Sandra of NC, Cheryl Spurlock of TN, Karen Rezendes and her husband Robert of New Bedford, Patricia Prestopino and her husband John of New Bedford and Ann Gauthier of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gary and Darren Gauthier.
