Sharon Onofrey

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Richard and Sherlyn (Carr) Brocklehurst she was a lifelong area resident.

Sharon worked as a cafeteria manager for the New Bedford School Department. She formerly was employed at Chamberlain Manufacturing.

Sharon was the life of the party. She enjoyed singing karaoke, music, dancing, playing KENO with her mother, and she had an infectious laugh that was contagious. She was creative and made art, crafts, and ceramics. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and making jewelry. Her family will always remember her for being kind and beautiful. Someone who would give to others without regard.

Sharon's greatest accomplishment was being a mother above all else, and newly a grandmother.

In addition to her former husband, she is survived by two children, Kerri Onofrey and her partner Neil Lamontagne of New Bedford and Aaron Onofrey and his wife Leia of New Bedford; a granddaughter, Indigo; a sister, Dawn Brocklehurst and her partner Joan Dean of FL; a brother, Richard Brocklehurst and his wife Donna of New Bedford; sister-in-law of Dennis Onofrey, Vanessa Nobles and her husband Daryl, Douglas Onofrey and his wife Lisa, Gordon Onofrey, and Carol Onofrey; and several nieces and nephews; Kristy Acevedo, Brian Brocklehurst, Todd Brocklehurst, Christopher Nobles, Jennifer Nobles, Shayna Onofrey, Lauren Onofrey, and Crystal Onofrey. She was the former daughter-in-law of the late William and Doris (Dube) Onofrey and the sister-in-law of the late William Onofrey and Kenneth Onofrey.
