Sharon A. Lewin

Sharon A. (Correia) Lewin, passed away unexpectedly November 29, 2017 after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife and best friend of Stephen T. Lewin. They lovingly celebrated their 12th Anniversary October 1, 2017.

Sharon was a foster mother to many children throughout the years. She adored and will be greatly missed by her furry baby, Holly.

Her hobbies were yard saling and trips to New Hampshire.

She was the daughter of the late Manuel and Evangeline Correia. She is predeceased by siblings, David Correia, Manuel Correia Jr., Susan Correia and Sandra Perry and survived by Jeffrey Correia. Sharon was the loving step-mother of David Lewin and his wife Helene, Kellie Breakfield and her husband Carl, Kimberly Westgate and her husband Tom and Amy Schoorens and her husband Steven. She was the proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 4 to 7 pm at the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Funeral Mass will be Monday, December 4, 2017 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial, CO 80112.
